For an organisation whose core business is reconciliation, the journey towards developing our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been especially important. It has been both challenging and invigorating and the RAP process has enhanced Reconciliation Australia in a number of important ways.
The development of the RAP has encouraged Reconciliation Australia to start a new conversation between staff—Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and other Australians—to take a closer look at how we work together and how we feel about each other.
We completed our first RAP in 2008. The current RAP runs from 2009-2012.
