Our Board of Directors and staff are a mixture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians who share a determination to do what it takes to build a reconciled nation.
Dr Tom Calma AO and Ms Melinda Cilento are the Co-Chairs of Reconciliation Australia. Our CEO is Torres Strait Islander businesswoman Ms Leah Armstrong.
Dr Calma has formerly served as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner and the Race Discrimination Commissioner. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Close the Gap Coalition and National Coordinator for Tackling Indigenous Smoking.
Ms Cilento is a non-executive director with Woodside Petroleum. She has previously held senior management and economist roles at the Business Council of Australia and Commonwealth Department of Treasury.
Ms Armstrong has worked with and led Indigenous businesses for more than two decades. She currently holds positions with several Boards including Indigenous Business Australia, Australian Indigenous Minority Suppliers Council and Jobs Australia Foundation.
